Description
American Traveler is seeking a 3D Imaging Technologist I for an urgent care setting, performing X-ray exams and supporting both front and back office clinical operations in a fast-paced ambulatory environment.
Details
- Position is based in an urgent care center within a large ambulatory health system
- Patient population includes both adult and pediatric patients
- Performs X-ray studies following standard imaging protocols
- Also supports front office duties including patient registration, payment processing, and opening/closing procedures
- Back office clinical duties include patient rooming, triage, vital signs documentation, specimen collection, and point-of-care testing
- Assists with minor surgical procedures under the direction of a licensed provider
- Shift is 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM
- Epic EMR is used; prior Epic experience is preferred
Requirements
- Associate's degree from an accredited college required
- Current state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist required; MA license required at time of consideration — no pending licenses accepted
- ARRT certification required
- BLS certification required (AHA only)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a high-volume urgent care center or emergency room preferred
- Prior Epic EMR experience preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Must be able to work effectively with both adult and pediatric patient populations
- Flu vaccine required; no religious or medical exemptions accepted
- 2 references required for consideration
Additional Information
- Prepares radiology suite, equipment, and materials; captures and documents images in the EMR; monitors receipt and results from the Radiology department
- Documents patient history, chief complaint, vital signs, and clinical notes in the EMR
- Processes and sends out patient specimens for point-of-care and lab tests, including breath alcohol and urine drug screening for employee health visits
- Assists with training activities for new employees
- Time keeping is managed through UKG/Kronos
- No validated parking is available at Boston-area locations; public parking rates range from $17–$22 daily; public transportation is recommended
- Local candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are eligible but may be subject to a reduced pay rate
- Any requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of consideration
